Debora Stein's paintings

In 2002-2008 she works on another series of mosaics made from papier-mâché entitled the “the chemistry of the sacred” that uses the aesthetic of ancient icons to display today’s deification of psychoactive medication as one of the only possible answer to existential anxieties. Those questions, that have always existed, are now finding an answer through chemical numbness of being.
